Academics/Curriculum

Curriculum Development Unit

According to changing time, national social and personal requirements also change, and to cope with these changes, it is essential to service curriculum from time to time. This responsibility of curriculum formation, considering the cultural and educational values of Maharashtra, is vested with MSCERT Pune 30. The Curriculum Development Unit, which came into existence in the year 1975-76, shoulders the responsibility of periodic curriculum formation.

As per the free and compulsory education for children act 2009, circular dated 7 March 2012, the Director of the Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training has been declared as the nodal agency by the Government of Maharashtra.

  • Service learning: Students can learn about civic responsibility and community needs through community service.
  • Collaborative learning: Educators can provide a variety of learning experiences to engage different types of learners.
  • Outdoor education: Students can learn through organized activities in the outdoors.
  • Adventure education: Students can develop team and group skills through outdoor activities.

Other Academic Programmes

Celebration of Festivals and Annual Day: Cultural programs, class presentations, celebration of festivals, exhibitions, and fun-filled games are organized regularly at Leo School. These are creatively designed, encouraging the maximum participation of children and parents.

Educational and Recreational outings: Field-trips, fun-trips, and educational outings are organized periodically for students of Leo School to learn beyond the classroom. We try to provide a first-hand exposure that supplements what is taught in the classroom.

Inspiration and Guidance from Guest Speakers: We invite experts in various fields to organize seminars, lectures, counseling sessions, and personality development workshops for our students. It helps them to grow as complete human beings ready to face life.

Participation in Olympiads and National Scholarship Exams: Students are motivated to participate in various graded examinations like Olympiads, Silver Zone, Indian Talent, APJ Abdul Kalam, Aryabhatta, RSL, etc., to improve their skills. Students have qualified various levels and brought laurels for the school.
